Art History Tour

Tour the 11 sculptures in our collection by renowned artist, Allan Houser (Haozous). Born in Apache, Oklahoma (1914-1994) of Chiricahua Apache and English descent and raised on a family ranch where he learned of his culture through his father’s stories. He originally gained recognition for his paintings depicting traditional, Native American life and ideals. In 1992 he was awarded the National Medal of Arts by President George H.W. Bush.
